Some of the ways Schaefer Autobody Centers supports the community we serve:
Supporting Our Veterans
One of the ways we give back is by donating vehicles to Veteran Heroes who are in need of reliable transportation. We work closely with the Joshua Chamberlain Society and NABC to accomplish this goal.
As you can imagine, the hardest part is selecting someone from our long list of amazing candidates. We work with our business partners to get a damaged vehicle donated and then receive parts and materials donations from our generous vendors that allow our technicians to repair the vehicle and get it road-ready for the recipient.
David Ian Charity Golf Tournament
Every autumn, Schaefer Autobody Centers—in coordination with numerous sponsors, donors, volunteers and golfers—hosts a charity golf tournament benefiting a cause very dear to our hearts: St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
The tournament honors David Ian Schaefer, the late son of Scott and Sarah Schaefer. David was born with rare and severe birth defects, which required him live in the NICU. During the time they spent at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, the generous things that people and businesses in the community did for families struggling with a sick child was on display.
Holiday Toy Drive
In a continued effort to support St. Louis Children’s Hospital, every holiday season we collect toys and gifts for Snowflake Village. The in-hospital “toy store” ensures every child receives something special for the holidays.
Toys are collected at every Schaefer Autobody Centers location, gifted through an Amazon wish list and gathered through monetary donations. The total of all the giving makes the holidays a little brighter for children and their families who spending the holidays at St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
